Two views of Imam Hussain’s Shrine in Karbala from a similar angle. Expansion projects marred by ill planning and corruption have resulted in drastically reduced visibility of the tombs historic domes and minarets. Ultimately projects such as these have resulted in the tomb losing much of its authentic beauty and historic prestige.
